Instant homemade soups in which you only have to add water before reheating, what a great idea! Here is the basic method to prepare these practical pots to take to the office.

1. In the bottom of a 2 t (500 mL) pot, put 1 to 2 tbsp. (5 to 10 ml) broth concentrate (cubed, powdered or liquid), miso or curry paste.

2. Add 2 to 3 tbsp. (10 to 15 ml) other flavors: citrus juice and zest, soy sauce, fish sauce, asian chili sauce, teriyaki sauce, hot sauce, rice vinegar, balsamic vinegar, garlic, sundried tomatoes, pesto etc.

3. Add 1/3 t (80 mL) of cooked protein (chicken, pork or beef pulled, shrimp, salmon sliced, sausages cut into slices, legumes) or raw (tofu or edamames).

4. Add 1 t (250 mL) cooked pasta or noodles. No need to cook very fine rice noodles, add them dry by adjusting the amount to about 1/2 t (125 ml).

5. Add 3/4 t (180 mL) steamed and chopped vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, potatoes), raw and thinly sliced, diced or chopped (carrot, pepper, tomato, zucchini). , snow peas, mushrooms, green onions, cabbage, spinach), frozen (peas, corn). Once filled, the pots will keep for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.

6. Before eating, let the pots return to room temperature or warm them a little under hot water (to avoid breakage).

7. Fill the jars with water, and heat them in the microwave for 2 to 3 minutes. Then we cover them and let them rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh herbs, if desired.
